Parking:
Main Street will be closed for this event between Barkly Street and Queen Street, people parking in this area of Main Street are advised to have their vehicle removed by midnight the night before the festival. Extensive Parking on the day is available at the rear of Main Street and Centro Mornington areas. Car access to Main Street will not be available via Queen Street, Barkly Street and Blake Street on the day.

Mornington Peninsula Railway Society:
The Mornington Railway, which runs from Moorooduc to Yuilles Road Mornington, is the recretion of travel as it used to be on country branch lines which criss-crossed Victoria in the early part of last centruy. Ride on the railway and experience the atmosphere of travelling in restored wooden bodied country carriages behind a steam locomotive that saw duty in many parts of regional Victoria.

On Festival day, the railway will offer a unique opportunity for visitors to the Mornington Festival to park their cars in the spacious car park at Moorooduc station, ride in a heritage steam train to the outskirts of Mornington, and then be taken directrly by bus to where the festival action will be taking place in Main Street. Festival trains will depart from Moorooduc at 11.00am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm. Buses connecting with return train services from Mornington to Moorooduc will depart from Main Street at 12.45pm, 2.00pm and 3.15pm

Return fares are adult $15, concession $12, children $8 and children 3 and under no charge. Family $39. Fares include bus transfers between Mornington Station and Main Street. Mooroduc station is located on the Moorooduc Highway opposite the Cool Stores (Melway 145 K9). However to enter the station area, it is necessary to proceed about 500 metres along the highway towards Frankston and turn into Two Bays Road, the road to the station branches off Two Bays Road about 40 metres back from the highway.

  • Weather - History has proven that the Festival hasn't been rained out yet! Don't stay inside when there is beautiful weather down in Main Street, check out the Bureau of Meteorology site www.bom.gov.au
  • Environment - The event promotes recycling, keep an eye out for the bins located throughout the Festival.
